Ban v Ind, 1st ODI, Dhaka Sabbir, Shakib build after wobble

Bangladesh 200/4 (34.2 ov)India

2.4
Kumar to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, pushed on the up, nicely timed. Kohli's dive to his left, from wide mid-off, gets a hand to it, but the ball still hurtles along to the fence
Bangladesh 14/0   Soumya Sarkar 7* (7b 1x4)   B Kumar 1.4-0-11-0
3.2
Yadav to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, on the up and over the top. A length ball, around off, angling away, and he throws his arms through it, lofting it over cover
Bangladesh 19/0   Soumya Sarkar 11* (10b 2x4)   UT Yadav 1.2-0-8-0
5.1
Yadav to Tamim Iqbal, FOUR, draws an edge as he pushes a length ball across Tamim, but it falls short of Dhawan at wide first slip, and squeezes under his hands for four runs
Bangladesh 31/0   Tamim Iqbal 14* (17b 1x4)   UT Yadav 2.1-0-14-0
5.2
Yadav to Tamim Iqbal, FOUR, dances down the wicket, reaches the pitch of a length ball, and drives it with an open face, over point. That is an audacious shot
Bangladesh 35/0   Tamim Iqbal 18* (18b 2x4)   UT Yadav 2.2-0-18-0
5.5
Yadav to Tamim Iqbal, FOUR, half tracker. Easy-paced pitch. Meat and drink. Tamim pulls off the front foot, between the bowler and mid-on
Bangladesh 39/0   Tamim Iqbal 22* (21b 3x4)   UT Yadav 2.5-0-22-0
6.4
Kumar to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, smashed away. No respect. Pure audacity. This is a gentle length ball, pitches middle, angles away. Does nothing else. No movement, no disconcerting bounce. Sarkar stands tall, swipes it across the line, and sends it over a wide mid-on
Bangladesh 51/0   Soumya Sarkar 20* (18b 3x4)   B Kumar 3.4-0-23-0
6.6
Kumar to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, gentle short ball, and despite its rising shoulder high Sarkar has pulled this to deep midwicket for four more easy runs
Bangladesh 55/0   Soumya Sarkar 24* (20b 4x4)   B Kumar 4-0-27-0
7.3
Ashwin to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, lovely cover-drive. This is a decent offbreak. Flighted nicely, not half-volley, driven through extra cover for four. All along the4 ground
Bangladesh 61/0   Soumya Sarkar 28* (21b 5x4)   R Ashwin 0.3-0-6-0
7.5
Ashwin to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, ordinary bowling. Fired into the pads with only leg slip fielding behind the wicket on the leg side. Sarkar gets enough bat on the sweep to send it past that man
Bangladesh 65/0   Soumya Sarkar 32* (23b 6x4)   R Ashwin 0.5-0-10-0
8.1
MM Sharma to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, Bangladesh showing no respect to the World Cup semi-finalists. Sarkar charges at him first ball, and even though the bowler has shortened the length he goes ahead with the thump, sending this past midwicket for four
Bangladesh 70/0   Soumya Sarkar 37* (25b 7x4)   MM Sharma 0.1-0-4-0
8.5
MM Sharma to Tamim Iqbal, FOUR, Outside the crease. Inside the crease. Doesn't matter. A length ball, he gets under it, and lofts it over mid-off
Bangladesh 75/0   Tamim Iqbal 34* (28b 4x4 1x6)   MM Sharma 0.5-0-9-0
11.2
Ashwin to Tamim Iqbal, FOUR, that's filth. That is short, really short, and slow, and has sat up to be hit. Goes over midwicket for a four
Bangladesh 86/0   Tamim Iqbal 42* (36b 5x4 1x6)   R Ashwin 2.2-0-19-0
13.1
MM Sharma to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, what a way to get to the fifty. Sharma tries to bounce him, Sarkar stays still, stands tall, and ramps this over the keeper's head. Great atmosphere in the stands as he gets a standing ovation. This has the makings of a great day for the crowd
Bangladesh 101/0   Soumya Sarkar 53* (38b 8x4 1x6)   MM Sharma 1.1-0-14-0
15.1
MM Sharma to Tamim Iqbal, (no ball) FOUR, no respite for India. Tamim marches to fifty by dancing down the wicket and lofting this length ball to long-off for four. A no-ball too
Bangladesh 113/1   Tamim Iqbal 52* (50b 6x4 1x6)   MM Sharma 2-0-23-0
15.1
MM Sharma to Tamim Iqbal, FOUR, bowls it full, really full, but Tamim's bat comes down hard on it, and it bounces over Mohit's head for four through mid-off
Bangladesh 117/1   Tamim Iqbal 56* (51b 7x4 1x6)   MM Sharma 2.1-0-27-0
22.1
Raina to Mushfiqur Rahim, FOUR, short, rare bad ball. Rahim makes room and cuts it between point and short third
Bangladesh 139/3   Mushfiqur Rahim 9* (13b 1x4)   SK Raina 6.1-0-18-0
26.2
Raina to Shakib Al Hasan, FOUR, short, pulled away, straight of deep square leg for four. Now this was a ball that could have been hit without risk, and the shot was on. Not the ones Tamim and Rahim played
Bangladesh 156/4   Shakib Al Hasan 11* (16b 1x4)   SK Raina 8.2-0-31-0
28.2
Raina to Sabbir Rahman, FOUR, reverse sweep. Finds the gap. Beats short third man. Pretty sweet connection too. Chose the flat delivery to play the shot to. Good choice
Bangladesh 167/4   Sabbir Rahman 9* (16b 1x4)   SK Raina 9.2-0-39-0
29.5
Jadeja to Sabbir Rahman, FOUR, slog sweep. This time he has picked the right ball. From wider outside off than he previously did. Sabbir thus covers the stumps and gets his body outside the line. And then connects well with the shot
Bangladesh 174/4   Sabbir Rahman 15* (22b 2x4)   RA Jadeja 1.5-0-9-0
30.5
Yadav to Sabbir Rahman, FOUR, long hop, pulled away disdainfully. Bangladesh getting away again
Bangladesh 182/4   Sabbir Rahman 21* (27b 3x4)   UT Yadav 3.5-0-35-0
31.5
Jadeja to Sabbir Rahman, FOUR, swept from in front of the stumps. Beats the men deep on the leg side
Bangladesh 189/4   Sabbir Rahman 27* (31b 4x4)   RA Jadeja 2.5-0-16-0

Rollins wonders what’s going on, but Kane reluctantly lays down and allows Rollins to cover him. Kane throws him back and says no, then Mercury and Noble jump in the ring but Kane grabs them both by the throat and shoves them on the floor.
